Region and State Theatre Meet gives your students the opportunity to prepare a scene, classical scene, dramatic or humorous monologue, pantomime, as well as a musical theatre piece to be judged at a region level. If the student receives an overall superior at region, they qualify for state. In addition to the individual events, you may bring a one-act play to be adjudicated. It may also qualify for state with an over all superior rating. Please see all the new rules, format, and judging qualifications that were voted on in April 2011. This new format will take effect for region and state in March of 2012. You can click on the UHSAA website www.uhsaa.org/new and go under the heading Publications and Policies.
